Heading into Winter

This is one of the pictures that I took during a walk that Vicki and I took on Thanksgiving. We saw the snow falling and we had to go outside. This was right about when the snow turned into rain. That's Vicki walking ahead of me. I love this time of year!

This is my Old Barns post. Follow the link for more old barn photos.

Bottom of the Rock Reflections (Weekend Reflections # 62)

I've been thinking about New york lately so here's a reflection from NYC. I hope to go to the top of this building and enjoy the view next time I'm there. (Top of the Rock)

I hope my fellow Americans had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Newtown was blessed with the first snow of the season yesterday. :) Now let the Christmas music begin!

Have a great weekend everyone!

The Last of the Colorful Leaves

After I had a blood test the other day I noticed a farm next to the medical building. I happened to have a camera in my pocket so I took a few shots. Most of the colorful leaves around Newtown have fallen already but the tree in the top photo still has some.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Paris Reflections (Weekend Reflections # 61)

Hello and thanks for keeping Weekend Reflections going strong while I was away!
This is another sort of busy reflection with the church(Notre-Dame des Champs) being the obvious focal point but a few other things to look for are the guy on the bike in the right corner, the mirror inside the restaurant reflecting the yellow tour bus and the green Chez Leon signs inside of the restaurant. After this leg of the trip I went to Brussels and my first meal was at the original Chez Leon where I had Moules- frites (mussels and fries). After Brussels we went to Lucerne Switzerland then we returned to Paris.

I'll be posting the Europe photos at my other blog Something Sighted for at least the next year so stop by and check them out when you have time.

Home Again

It's great to be back! With the exception of this photo and some for Weekend Reflections I'll be be posting the pictures that I took in Europe on my other blog Something Sighted. I've already posted a few and I'll be posting them for a long time to come. This picture is another version of my other blog's new header photo. I hope you all enjoyed Weekend Reflections while I was away. I'm looking forward to the fun this weekend!

The boy in this picture just stood there in awe of the Eiffel Tower for quite a while.

Reflections and Memories (Weekend Reflections # 60 )

I'll be home soon. See you all next week! Don't forget to look at my Something Sighted blog for photos of Europe.

This is one of the beautiful windows at the Palace Hotel and the reflection is St. Patrick's Cathedral. You can also see a chandelier inside the hotel. This is the hotel where we stayed during our first NYC visit last year. It's an amazing hotel but it's too expensive unless I get a great deal like last time. So I'll have to hold on to the fond memories.

Frenchtown Reflections (Weekend Reflections # 59)

Have fun with Weekend Reflections while I'm on vacation! I plan to be back in a couple of weeks. Hopefully by now I have some photos of my trip on my Something Sighted blog. Then again maybe I'll have to wait until I get home to post them.

I took this shot last winter in a cute little town called Frenchtown on the New Jersey side of Delaware river. This old fashioned barbershop was closed so I decided to take advantage of the reflections from outside. I was wearing a hat so it's hard to tell from my reflection if I was due for a haircut or not. This is a pretty busy photo with lots of things to see so I hope it works. Have a great weekend!
